Volunteer

Our Volunteer opportunities are program based as each program has different volunteer opportunities.  Check out our program specific volunteer opportunities below;

KEY – Our youth restorative justice program seeks volunteers to serve as mentors for a school year (November – May). In this capacity, volunteers are matched with a high school student with whom they build a relationship and walk alongside throughout the school year. While applications close in October, we are always looking for potential mentors.

SLP – Our Summer Leadership Program is a hands-on summer learning and leadership experience for our interns where skill-building, community, and care come together. Summer days are busy, and our interns need more than mentorship — they need dependable breakfasts, snacks, and lunches to keep their energy up so they can learn, lead, and rest well. You can help by volunteering or donating food for our cohort.

Garden to Table – Our community garden kicks off in the spring with two days where we clean and prepare our garden beds for the new season. Then, in June through October, we kick off weekly harvest & distribution sessions on Saturdays, which including working in the garden, preparing bags to share with neighbors, and engaging with neighbors during distribution. Our volunteer opportunities are on Saturday mornings, generally from 8:30am-11:00am. There is a sign-up link that interested volunteers can use to volunteer with this program.

Fun Fair – Our annual Back to School event is a time for our community to gather to wind down the summer and prepare for the school year. We recruit volunteers to help with set up, stations during the event (i.e. games, resource distribution, food, etc.), and teardown/clean up. The day usually starts at 9am and concludes at 3pm. There is a sign-up link that interested volunteers can use to volunteer for this event.
